Well, I had a thoughtful post typed out to share here, and then poof! It was gone. Thanks blogger, for eating my post, and thanks self, for neglecting to hit that little save button a few times. Geesh.
Anyway, I just wanted to post a little update on baby & belly. We're officially over halfway finished with this pregnancy, and hurray, couldn't be happier! Since it's already been 6 weeks since our last photo, we took the opportunity to snap a few more, just for our own sake. We drove around Saturday & Gabe stopped at what turned out to be a great location for photos! I love our mountains dearly, and now I'll always have a few photos to remind me not only of this sweet time with baby, but that it was spent in one of the prettiest places, too.
Baby is about a pound now, and somewhere between 10 and 11 inches long, which isn't so hard to believe anymore, what with all the moving around in my belly. It's pretty consistent these days, and there have even been a few times that I've poked my belly and within a few minutes, baby has poked back! It's pretty fun (& definitely strange) to feel baby move around, and definitely my most favorite thing ever.
I'm feeling pretty good these days- very little nausea, occasional headaches, lower back and hip pain, but overall, pretty good. It seems that I only sleep for about 4-5 hours at a time, wake up early, and then require a nap for an hour or two before being really ready for the day. I have not yet found the energy that supposedly comes along with the second trimester, but creatively, my energy is back. Good thing that sewing isn't physically taxing. I've sewn more in the last two weeks than in the rest of the year combined, I'm positive!
Well, that's about it concerning baby. We have our big ultrasound tomorrow, and are so excited to see how our little one is doing, but we're still planning on not finding out the gender- we are just hoping for a healthy babe, and will get the big reveal in December. Is it just me, or is December feeling closer and closer...?
