Thus Far

Here's our bedroom. Actually, I took these photos last week & it was much cleaner, but this is the decor status thus far.

I actually took the photos to show off the new pillow that I made for our bed (see similar pillow here) for Valentine's day. Also? In the spirit of full disclosure, the day I took these photos is so far the only time the pillow has been seen on the bed. Gabe made our bed while I was away, but I haven't made it since. Goal for the day? Make my bed. 

No, our bedroom is not finished. Yes, we've been here for almost 4 months. I'm getting close, though. I sewed a table runner that I decided will look better as a faux headboard-ish thing above our bed. It's finished. I am too lazyslashforgetful to hang the blasted thing up. I'm guessing that once I do, it'll be another month or two before I photograph it, and then three more weeks before I post said photos here. I am nothing if not consistently lazyslashforgetful.

Our kitchen is coming around. I still need to make our curtains. They will likely take about two hours or less to cut, stitch, and hang, but it will be next week before I completely figure out how to accomplish this task and I am anticipating them being finished as we bought a new rug last week for the kitchen/dining area and it's thisclose to being swoony, in my opinion anyway.

So, that's where I'm at house-wise. It's getting real up in here.

*nightstands were a steal of a deal at Goodwill almost four years or so ago
*lamps from Target three years ago
*crewel embroidery from an estate sale
*perfumes from Crabtree & Evelyn and Anthropologie, swoon
*throw pillows were both sewn by me
*pottery on nightstands I purchased from a local craft show about 4 years ago and some of my favorite handmade items
