I did a LOT of sewing over the weekend, and I think this pair of pj pants for my niece is my favorite of all the projects I worked on. The fabric is actually from an old (but so pretty!) duvet that my friend gave my mom & then she passed it onto me! I’ve used it for several projects and have given plenty away, and I’ve still got enough for another project or two. I love how that works! Anyway, I after I completed the pants that I made for myself (yes, for me!), I decided that it would likely be a quick & easy project for something so little. I was right!
Anyway, all I did was use a pattern for the pieces/size. She’s 8 months and the smallest size was 1 year, but our sweet Evie is pretty tall, so I didn’t think it’d be a problem. After comparing them to a pair of pants I keep for size reference for her, I’m thinking they might actually be too short for her, actually! At least they won’t get in the way of her & her newest hobby of thinking she should be walking! So, I’m planning on mailing these cute pants out this week and hopefully I’ll be able to share a photo update with you soon to see how they actually fit her! If so, you better believe someone’s getting a pile of pants for Christmas!
This project was so fun and easy. If working on a batch of these, I’d say you could spend two or three hours and get at least 4 or 5 pairs out of your time!
