Summer Date Night :: Meet Prudy

It's Thursday! Yay! For the rest of the summer, Thursday is going to be a special day around here. You see, I had a brilliant idea (well, I thought so anyway) for a series that I wanted to try here at moxiemandie and so I am. I thought it'd be fun to talk about how we date in the summer- different activities, meals, creative ideas, etc., so I asked a few friends to share with us how they do date night during the summer. Expect to come back each Thursday morning for some inspiration. I'm so excited about this because I think it's important for us married folks to intentionally continue dating, even after we've been together for years.
Prudy has been married for eleven years.

Who says dates need to be at night? One of my favorite dates with my husband is what we commonly refer to as Coffee Shop Time.
We’ll spend a couple hours on a Saturday morning at a local coffee shop where we get fancy specialty drinks you can't get at Starbucks, and read or write.  Talk out things we’ve read in blogs or books or what's going on in our lives - impressions God's pressing upon our hearts.
One thing I've learned over the last few years of our now 11 year 1 month marriage is our dates don't need to always be an even semi-extravagant night out, that I love these quiet moments with my beloved sitting at a table in a coffee shop.

  1. I love the idea of dating in the daytime! It's so nice to just sit and talk to each other!
