Happy Monday! I hope you had a sweet weekend like we did! Because it's Monday, it's time to share my thrift haul, and this weekend didn't disappoint. We did go to a few places in Santa Fe, but I didn't have much luck there. We went straight to the opening day of our grower's market saturday morning, and across the street from where we parked, there was a small yard sale with nothing priced. I picked these little hankies? Napkins? Up for $2.00 and felt it was a good deal for both of us.

After the market, gave dropped me off at a warehouse sale I'd heard about at Kiwi Industries, and I know, I know....it wasn't a 'thrift' store, but I scored like it was, so I'll share it, thankyouverymuch. I bought 5 yards of this beautiful fabric for only $16!!! Dang, right?

Next up- we dropped by my in-law's house where Gabe told his mom that he really, really wants us to get bikes and she proceeds to tell us that there had been a block sale near his grandpa's house that morning, and his dad had donated an old bike to the sale! Fortunately, it didn't sell, so Gabe now has a bike to pick up today! (if you're local & have a women's bike for free or cheap, let me know! We're interested!)
We decided to hit up a few ore sales, and I'm glad we did. I got this little bundle of chambray for .25!

And then, I got this old jar that I'm sure I'll get a lot of use from for $1! There were even some old spaghetti noodles, but I decided against keeping those!

And, for posterity's sake, one more jar photo because it shows off my curtains that I never ended up sharing on the blog.

So, that's my thrift haul! I feel so fortunate with my recent finds! Did you score big while thrifting this weekend?
Love all the stuff you got.........especially the hankies and napkins..........very beautiful! liked seeing your curtains too. I think if I ever get to re-do.....I gotta do something red. So cheerful! Thanks for sharing. Love u, G
ReplyDeleteThose are some awesome finds! :) and the bike, how cool that you guys are getting bikes! I think our bikes are the best purchases we've ever made...we took a long ride around town yesterday with the boys and it was so refreshing. :)
ReplyDeleteI was finally able to visit a local thrift/antique store last week. I had the boys with me, and although they did pretty good, I decided to go back alone on Saturday. I browsed for well over an hour and found some great things. I'll have to share about them later on my blog :)
ReplyDeleteNice curtains, napkins and jar.=) And nice pics. I am new here, so you probably always post nice pics.=) But, as that is not my strong suit, I am always in admiration of anyone who takes nice ones. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteLove the jar! I have a soft spot for vintage jars like this since my mom always have a beautiful button collection in one growing up.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you got some great fabric!! And the spaghetti jar is really cool - I kinda want one now...
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of those linens! I have such a soft spot for anything with needlework on it. Someone put a lot of work into these beauties! I try to rescue as many as I find. Nice haul. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love that jar! & the super cute curtains, too. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! Those embroidered linens are amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI love finding old linens. The embroidery and fabric are gorgeous :)
