We then went to Gabe’s grandma’s house & had lunch with Grandma, his parents and his brother. Gabe grilled stuffed hamburgers and corn for elotes and we had delicious lime chips & dip, I made deviled eggs (with jalapeno, upon reading that Elise tried it and said it was awesome- it was!) and Marta’s amazing cucumber limeade. I did bake my angel food cake on Saturday, but had to improvise as it kindof exploded & was not going to work as a pretty cake. So, I tore it into pieces and layered it with strawberries and whipped cream for a parfait-ish dessert. It tasted great, but I was disappointed that I didn’t get to frost my cake. Next time, right?
Well, Gabe studied more after lunch and then we had a chill sort of evening, which was a nice way to end the weekend.
I hope that you had a blessed Easter weekend!

So, I had a lovely Easter weekend. Poor Gabe spent ALL day Saturday studying, but I spent it brunching and sewing and cooking. Then yesterday we went to the sunrise Easter service at Lobo stadium & promptly came home & took a 2 hour nap because we are not sunrise people, ahem.
