So, Gabe & I were both down with a stomach bug this week, so posting has been a bit light around here, but I just wanted to share a few things...
*After selling a few of my hand-dyed onesies at Hip Stitch, I was itching to go again, but with brighter, spring-y colors, and I did! I told Gabe the other day that it took me about 2 hours to dye them, but it felt like 20 minutes. I've found that dyeing fabric is one of the mot cathartic things to do- I hope to do it on a larger scale someday.
*I ran out of eyeliner a few days ago, so I've looked even more allergy-ridden than usual. My friend Elizabeth told me, sincerely, that she liked my makeup on the first day that I'd run out of the eyeliner. Since then, several coworkers have told me how tired I look. Hmmmm....? :)
*I'm making deviled eggs and angel food cake this weekend for Easter lunch, and both for the first time! I can't believe I'm almost 30 and have never made either of them before!
*I've been getting a lot of sewing done, and it's been SO nice. I just haven't really had a chance to photograph my projects, but here's a little list of what's being accomplished:
-I turned a pair of boot cut jeans that had a little too much stretch into skinnies: perfect!
-I've sewn several zippy pouches lately, my favorites being the mustaches!
-I've also been making burpy cloths to take to The Octopus and The Fox, where I sell on consignment.
-I made a little tagged lovey for my niece, using flannel and minky & sewed cute coordinating ribbon loops on the sides. I hope she likes it. :)
Well, friends, I hope you have a happy, happy Easter weekend!!
