So, my week has been way off & has affected my blogging. I was fighting our insurance company early this week & sadly, I let the stress from that mess with my health & I've just been sort of a hot mess most of the week. I'm feeling better today, and even just sent out several moxiemandie orders. (You can still take advantage of the 50% off discount code- enter HALFOFF at checkout!) I still have much to do, and my goal for having everything completely finished & mailed out is Monday, March 5th. We'll leave to go see my new niece a few days later, & I'm looking forward to having a few days off before we leave!

How do you deal with stress? Do you let it get to you so much that affects you physically? I've been wondering this lately as I know I get headaches from tension way too often & I do not want to live this way. I'd love to hear from you- what do you do to relieve stress in your life?

  1. I pray. A lot. And read my Bible. It's amazing how much that helps! Plus I talk to my mom :)

  2. I'm not proud of it, but I'm right there with you. This past weekend I made myself sick (fever and all) over a stressful situation at work.

I carry so much tension in my shoulders, and I've recently started hot yoga. Learning how to (this sounds silly) relax my shoulders and not have them near my ears has helped so much.

I'm working on it. Praying, yoga, and little 5 minute breaks in the dark and quiet of my office are helping!

  3. Sorry to hear how stressed you've been! Dealing with insurance is the worst. Ugh. I don't deal with stress very well ... it completely keeps me up at night, which is no bueno. I do try to pray through it and talk about completely logical, feasible options with Chris, which helps. I like to know/plan out which steps I'll take for each outcome.

  4. Coming from this great-grandma........I've had lots of different stresses my entire life. There's no one answer to get rid of it either. I do think that working out/walking/yoga, those kinds of things are the best stress relievers out there. I can be all tight like with the shoulder thing, and go to Curves and do a good workout, and I come out a new person. Other than that and prayer, you just have to learn to shrug it off, talk to yourself, you're better than the stress makers!! And then put it in God's hands. Good luck Mandie. Can't wait to see you! ; )

  5. i fight to keep the physical affects away. often unsuccessfully. pfft.
praise the lord for new days and strength when we ask. i just need to remember to ask each day;)

    sending hugs, cutie!

  6. Stress is no fun! =\ I think prayers are best for stress. Hope next week is a better one!

I'm so glad you're here!
